Post Your SIP House

So what do SIPs houses look like?

Scott Homes

They look like any house.  Or like anything you want.

I built this all myself with only a few days of help. The SIPs wall were pre-fabbed off-site and were all stood up in less than 8 hours with three men (One experienced, one apprentice, and one newbie, me). I can’t begin to say how much time this system saved me over regular framing, let alone having to round up help to stand up the walls.

  5. Hey-
I have been keeping up with the construction of my house on my blog (address above) and thought you might be interested. Our panels are from Suretight, and they are being put up right now. Our builder is John Stelmack. His site is http://www.panelstar.com/

  6. The Pyramid House shown was constructed in 1999 by Wickiup Builders of Ennis Montana using 10″ Structural Insulated Panels from Big Sky R-Control of Belgrade, Montana. This is the off grid home of Whitney Lake, an entrepenurial inventor of local renoun. An Alternative Energy Resource Instutute is currently being built next door to compliment the unusual style and energy of the Pyramid House.
